Our program provides a well-rounded education in science, mathematics, and the humanities and builds a strong foundation in modern systems biology that integrates biological principles with chemistry, physics, and quantitative thinking. Our students study in a collaborative learning environment and enjoy opportunities for research in state-of-the-art faculty laboratories. Many biology majors opt to study abroad on the spring semester Pacific Program to Australia and New Zealand or travel to Spain for the Valencia Summer Program. Biology graduates are prepared for a career track in medical and other professional schools, graduate study in biology and related fields including public health, and positions ranging from environmental monitoring to applied forensics, biology education, or human health.
