Freshman Session & Tour
Upcoming Dates
Each week day except holidays, we offer you a number of ways to learn more about Georgia Tech. We want you to have time to connect with our academic departments, see our beautiful campus, and learn more about the application process and campus life. Note that during spring semester we may offer various modified information sessions during Georgia Tech's spring break as well as special sessions for admitted freshmen.
Who should attend?
Prospective freshmen and high school counselors
Description
Freshman Information Sessions & Tours are designed to give prospective high school students who have not yet been admitted to Tech an introduction to Georgia Tech. The session is conducted by a counselor from the Office of Undergraduate Admission who discusses the admission process, majors, opportunities outside of the classroom, campus activities, and student life. The session also provides an opportunity to ask any general questions about the Institute. Each session is followed by a one-hour walking tour lead by one of our Tour Guides.
To get a sneak peak at what you will hear during our presentation or to have a copy for your visit, download the information session presentation ahead of time!
Enhance Your Visit
In order to learn more about your chosen major and augment our general information session and campus tour, we recommend attending a college-based information session. These sessions are available once per week to once per month for most of our colleges. Please understand that the weeks of March 25-April 12 are the busiest weeks of the year in our office. If you arrive more than ten minutes late, we reserve the right to release your reservation to accommodate other guests. Thank you for your understanding!
